I don't know who brainwashed us all into loving vampires so much, but apparently the whole vampire thing isn't going anywhere fast. Vampires have been really trendy, if mythical monsters even qualify, for the last couple years, so I figured heck, why not. Either jump on the train or get off the tracks. It's wild how many famous actors have played a vampire in a movie or on TV. Just for fun (and to prove how crazy we all are) I pulled a little timeline of celebs-as-vampires (below). We've got Kiefer Sutherland in the 80's, Gary Oldman, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and David Boreanaz swinging big for the 90's, and Robert Pattinson, Alexander Skarsgaard, and Johnny Depp (among many, too many others) representing the 00's and um, 10's (is that what we're calling this decade? Sounds awful). Not many chicks are represented in the group, but we do have Kirsten Dunst, Dakota Fanning, and Kate Beckinsale kicking ass for the ladies team. Clearly I need to work on getting a part as a vampire, it's what all the big names are doing these days, and we definitely need more lady vamps represented. And hey, I look pretty good in fangs!
