First Day of Summer
Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Well, it's officially the first day of summer, and I'm bracing myself for the heat wave. We're still having a little of the "June gloom" here in LA, but come July and it's going to get real hot, real fast. In celebration of summer's official arrival, here are my top 5 summer staples: frozen peaches in champagne (have I died and gone to heaven?), straw fedoras, open-toed sandals (with a bright pedicure - right now I'm loving a hot red-orange), cherry chapstick, and lots of old school coconut tanning oil. Bring it on summer, I'm ready for you!

a quick question that I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head
before writing. I've had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Cheers!
