A Fabulous Picnic For Fall
Friday, August 31, 2012
This Labor Day weekend in celebration of fall, I plan on having a fantastic picnic. Not a plastic fork, potato chips, coleslaw, and crappy sandwiches kind of picnic - I want a fabulous, rustic inspired picnic with gourmet cheeses, fruits, and sandwiches with prosciutto and pesto on freshly baked ciabatta. I want to sit on beautiful wool blankets, lean back on plushy, rustic pillows, eat off of rugged, salvaged wood platters, and drink wine in something other than a plastic solo cup. A fabulous picnic can be wherever you want it to be - on the beach, in the woods, or even in a park around the corner (especially if you want to bring the kids, best place to keep em busy). Below are my ideal picnic destinations and what I would bring to each - now all I have to decide is which one to do first. Happy Labor Day weekend!!
